Welcome to the Andrew Swart Support Fund Art Auction. The Andrew Swart Support Fund is overseen by The Back Office to give everyone the assurance that everything is as it should be.
Here you can bid to buy inspiring art works created by talented and passionate established and emerging artists.
Unless otherwise stipulated, 50% of each sale goes to the person contributing the work – the world needs her artists and artists need to eat! The other 50% goes to supporting Andrew’s post-stroke lifestyle – special diet, medical and therapeutic costs, full time care and more. Ultimately, remaining funds will go to support causes that Andrew has always supported.
This auction covers three sources of work. Category 1 – inspiring and beautiful investment works by established and collectible artists. Category 2 – gorgeous works by emerging artists. Category 3 – Open category, for anyone who cares about Andrew and wants to submit a work
The exhibition and auction will be online here on this page. This means that works and buyers can be anywhere on the planet.
It will be up to the buyer to collect (or arrange and pay for transportation) in consultation with the person currently holding the work. Each work listing will include the current location (and all other relevant info such as dimensions and framing) in its description, so that buyers can take this into account when placing their bids.
Contributors are invited to set a reserve price/opening bid.
The Andrew Swart Support Fund supports:
Andrew Marshall – A neighbour of Andrew’s was generous with advice, support and loan items for disability during the time of Andrew’s post-stroke home life. Andrew Marshall has a slow and incurable muscular degenerative disease, is by now significantly paralysed, still has years ahead, and needs to customise a vehicle to fit his extra-support wheelchair…
